In keeping with the motto “New Dimensions”, we will present several new assembly solutions, including XL screws and wood to steel fastening products, at the upcoming DACH+HOLZ International trade fair in Cologne. In the course of its partnership with the Swiss company SFS intec, HECO has incorporated some of the fasteners into its own product portfolio.
“Thanks to our cooperative relationship with SFS, we are creating tailor-made solutions for even more areas of application in timber construction,” explains Andreas Hettich, Product Manager and Head of Marketing at HECO. “Our range expansion to include XL screws means that brand-new dimensions are opening up for contractors.” Mr Hettich is referring to the HECO-TOPIX wood screw, which was developed as a version with a large plate head and which guarantees particularly high load transfer. At the trade fair, HECO will also be presenting the HECO-WR full-threaded screw, which measures between 400 and 1,000 millimetres long and is used for the likes of support or transverse reinforcement. Due to its zinc flake coating, this product has particularly good gliding properties and can be screwed in without any need for pre-drilling. New dimensions are opening up for contractors in another application too - by offering the HECO-SC-S wing-tipped drilling screw for outdoor use and the self-drilling rod dowel which comes in nine different lengths, HECO is providing reliable assembly fittings for particularly simple fastening of wood to steel. The additional fastening solutions which have been newly added to the portfolio include full-threaded screws for various applications and threaded rods with a wood thread.
