In keeping with its motto "Safe and secure", HECO focusses on the development and manufacture of screws that are reliable and offer significant technical benefits and product convenience. Thanks to its high standards of quality and innovative strength, HECO has spent the last 50 years consistently improving the performance of its products and thus setting new benchmarks in terms of ease of installation, cost efficiency and safety. The product portfolio of the screw manufacturer includes universal, wood and concrete screws in a wide range of dimensions and versions. The company offers national technical approvals for all product ranges in the form of national or European Technical Assessments (ETA). This offer is rounded off by a large portfolio of services.

Comprehensive know-how and high production depth
Since its founding, the company's development has been determined by its constant search for better solutions in the field of fastening technology. Acquired over decades in the field, HECO's employees not only have huge specialist experience of manufacturing screws, but also a detailed understanding of all kinds of application conditions and the needs of our customers. Furthermore, the company is renowned for its in-depth research and development work, which is reflected not only in the quality of its products, but also in the high level of innovations and patents. After careful selection of raw materials, HECO's machinery produces products with a very-high in-house product depth. The continuous product improvements and innovations, high application capabilities and unique product characteristics of its screws have made HECO the go-to brand for professional trades. Furthermore, in terms of approvals, the screw specialist regularly sets new benchmarks that serve to steadily and continuously improve safety levels. For this purpose, HECO has its own in-house test laboratory and works closely with universities and material testing institutes.

Innovations that set new benchmarks
HECO products are considered pioneers in the field of fastening technology. With the new screw highlight HECO-TOPIX-plus, which will be launched on the market in spring 2020, the screw specialist will be combining the best properties of four existing HECO ranges. Whether a carpenter, a joiner, a kitchen installer or a kitchen fitter: HECO-TOPIX-plus is the right screw type for anyone who works with wood. The unique wood screw has a uniform drive concept and high-quality system accessories. The established MULTI-MONTI-plus screw generation for heavy-duty anchoring has received a construction technique permission for multiple use in temporary fastenings. As well as delivering new technical standards, both products also offer unique methods of application. Thanks to its intensive development work, firmly focussed on users and trends in the world of construction and approvals, HECO has continued to build on its existing market position and tap into new areas of application and markets in order to successfully drive healthy growth.

Company commitment to high quality
HECO screws are world-renowned for their high-quality standards and have become synonymous with safety and reliability in the field of fastening technology. Prior to leaving the company, all products undergo a rigorous testing procedure. This starts as early as the material testing stage and accompanies the entire manufacturing process. All products are also subject to extensive final checks before leaving the factory. The sophisticated quality management system is TÜV-certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. This is re-confirmed every year in an extensive monitoring audit and the company renews its certification every three years.

Strategic partnership between HECO and SFS
HECO and SFS are both companies in the fastening technology sector for timber construction, and embarked on a strategic partnership in 2015. The combination of the largely complementary ranges allows for comprehensive customer support, which in turn helps to consolidate the market position of the two companies. Over the course of this partnership, HECO has started to be the focal point for the development and production of fastening technology for timber construction.

Embracing the future with new management
Achim Carstanjen has been responsible for operations at the HECO Group since 1 July 2019. He took over from Guido Hettich, who will be gradually retiring from operational business. This personnel change finalises the succession plan in the HECO management and safeguards the future viability of the family company in the long term. The company currently employs around 370 people who develop, produce and distribute high-quality screws and fastening elements. HECO follows a strategy of active growth from within and the mindset and actions of the company management are geared towards the long-term. In this context, the screw manufacturer is continually investing in the modernisation and expansion of its factories and markets. Key growth investments in recent years were the establishment of a second production site in Câmpia Turzii, Romania, the installation of a cost and energy-efficient heat-treatment plant and the construction of a new logistics centre at the company's site in Schramberg, Germany in 2014. Thanks to these investments, HECO will continue to be able to meet ever-increasing customer expectations and market demands with competence and flexibility in the future.

With the logistics center opened in Schramberg-Sulgen in 2014, HECO is reacting quickly and flexibly to current market requirements.
